So who are the Developers for 303 Blackhead Road?

We have been advised by the Managing Director of Hometown Australia and their Development Manager that they are not in any way involved, nor are even interested in the proposed Development at 303 Blackhead Road, Hallidays Point. Further, they do not have an option to buy the site if the DA were approved. That is fairly succinct.

We have also been advised by the Manager of Gateway Lifestyle Beachfront that Gateway Lifestyle has no interest at all in the Tallwoods MHE site. For information, Hometown refer to Gateway as "our newly incorporated subsidiary". Again, Hometown have indicated that the MHE site on Blackhead Road is "completely outside the company model for investment".

Many had thought that there was just some simple ruse being played out here, with Gateway (the 2017 Developer) changing its name to Hometown for this "second bite at the cherry".

Hometown have advised that Matthew Wales is the applicant listed on the DA, and that he has no connection with Hometown Australia. As a number of the Community have contacted Hometown for this clarification, they respectfully ask that we "leave them alone" and concentrate on raising our objections with the appropriate parties.

 

So, who are the Developers?

 

The documents related to the DA 99/2019 – PROPOSED MANUFACTURED HOME ESTATE 303 BLACKHEAD ROAD, TALLWOODS indicate that the owners are:

Brichis Pty Ltd

Island Point Plantation Pty Ltd

John Earnings Pty Ltd

These documents also identify the Applicant as:

Joint Venture Pty Ltd - Matthew Wales

Our researchers have found that his email is  matthew@walesassociates.com.au

Wales & Associates are listed as "Town & Regional Planning" based at Umina Beach

Their address is Suite 2, 275 West St, Umina Beach NSW 2257

They do not appear to have a website, but Linked In indicates that Mr Wales has been the Director for over 30 years.
